Well here is something you probably already know but I love a good DIY especially a DIY where you can get the same look for less. I guess the reason I never thought about making it back then was because it was actually kind of intimidating. A LOT of pieces! BUT guess what? I made it and it was actually super easy AND super cheap. I created my own version of Anthropologie’s $150 garland for less than $8. WHAT?! I know I can’t believe it either…
Now that the holidays are here lets talk about cleaning and getting ready for guests. Yes, I know nobody wants to think about cleaning when the tree needs decorating, presents need wrapping, and heck some presents still need to be shopped for. But think about Christmas… all the photos that will capture memories in your home. All the guests your home will welcome over the next month. All the presents that will be opened there in the floor in front of the Christmas tree. The last thing you or your guests want to see is dirty grungy floors. That is why I have teamed up with Bona this holiday season to let you in on a little secret…
There is something magically about decorating for Christmas. I always light a Christmas candle and crank up the Christmas music. It’s like I become Buddy the elf in Kayla’s own little snow globe. When I start decorating the joy of Christmas really starts to set in. I am so happy that this year I get to make JOANN part of my Christmas decorating…
Last weekend I left on a jet plane and headed to Charleston, SC- one of my absolute favorite cities I have visited SO FAR in my lifetime. If you know me well you know my love for this city runs deep and I visit every single chance I get. I didn’t hesitate one second when Volvo invited me down for a weekend to explore the city with them. I mean a weekend full of luxury cars and hotels, helicopter tours, mouth watering food, and historic homes, in my most favorite city- who am I and why can’t this be my everyday life. AND let me tell you what- we made the absolute BEST of the 72 short hours we had in the Holy City of Charleston…
If anyone can tell you how to clean after pets it’s me. I feel as through my life evolves around cleaning up after Bella and Charlotte (incase you’re new around here they are our two Great Danes). On a normal day one is tracking mud across the floors while the other one is dripping water across them from their cheeks after splurging up water from their dog bowl- or possibly the toilet. So today I am teaming up with Bona to give you all my tips on how to keep your house and floors clean with dogs and pets..
Fun fact you probably don’t know about me… I LOVE HALLOWEEN. If it were socially acceptable to live in a haunted house, I would- Addams Family style. So this Halloween season I’ve teamed up with JOANN to decorate and “Spooky-ify” my tiny front porch. Who knew JOANN had such an amazing selection of Halloween decorating items?!..
So as one can imagine our floors see a lot of dirt, mud, grass, dog hair, rocks, and more dirt. Naturally with two big dogs who live in the house one of the most asked questions I get on social media is…. Want to guess?? “How do you keep your hardwood floors so clean.”
Well this is week 5 of the weekly smoothie recipe challenge. Bet you didn't even know this was a challenge. I challenged myself when I started a little over a month ago to keep creating smoothie recipes and sharing a new one every single week. All in hopes that someone somewhere out there might challenge themselves to a healthier diet and try some smoothies. Let’s see how long I can keep this going…

Things are starting to look a lot like Christmas at the Miller household. I don’t know what it is about decorating a Christmas tree that brings my soul so much happiness. Maybe it’s the Christmas music turned up loud, maybe it's the twinkle of the lights, or maybe I’m just a crazy designer that loves any chance to get creative and decorate. We always have a couple Christmas trees in our house (remember I’m a crazy designer) and the one in our living room changes slightly year after year. This year I am so excited to bring the new look of the tree to life with JOANN!
