Design Details:
First thing I did was turn your table. Now the table flows with the longest part of the room and goes with the entry flow of your home. I also removed the large cabinet to give more breathing room and make it appear larger.
I added a light fixture that flows well with the one in the entry way and adds a statement.
Table is a washed finish and around it is 8 black wood chair. The contrast in tones here adds character.
The large rug helps ground the space and add texture.
Again keeping it simple in here as well- letting the beautiful table and space speak for itself.
This space has a very french farmhouse feel while still being timeless.
